LE ROY, N.Y. — It’s been such an isolating time for seniors living in assisted living and nursing home communities. Le Roy Central School students and staff wanted to make sure seniors at Le Roy Village Green felt the love this holiday.

Students and staff purchased, wrapped, packed, and delivered gifts for all 140 residents at Le Roy Village Green Nursing Home that provides long-term care, comfort care and respite care. Le Roy CSD is hoping to spread some holiday cheer and let the residents know they care.

"Wow Knights look, look at all we are doing for the residents of the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home," said Lynda Lowe, LeRoy assistant principal 7-12.

"We just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Oatka Knight country for this amazing, amazing act of kindness made to our residents here and throughout the month of December. Over the last nine months, it has been an extremely difficult environment here and something like this is needed more now than ever," said Samantha Vagg, administrator at Village Green.

"We appreciate this as part of our team to have the residents be able to see the special gifts because we want to see smiles on their faces. So this means so much to us and our staff here. Thank you," said Jen Trigilio, director of nursing at Village Green.

Village Green will share the gifts with residents next week during the holiday.

We hope this inspires you to do something for seniors living in your community.
