Centro is adding a new route to meet demand from employees at more than a dozen companies near the airport.

It will take riders from the Transit Hub on South Salina Street in downtown Syracuse to Hancock Airpark off East Taft Road.

The route will have several runs spanning the early morning, late afternoon and late night starting on Monday.

“One of the areas where we received a lot of request for service not only for members of the public but from businesses along the Taft Road, Northern Blvd., Molloy Road corridor," said Centro Vice President of Communications Steven Koegel. "It’s an area that frankly has been a transit desert for a long period of time.”

The new route is being funded in part by a congestion mitigation and air quality grant.
