Scattered showers and storms will occur today with a cold front that will sweep out the humidity. Isolated severe weather will be possible today, mostly for the threat of stronger winds. Non thunderstorm winds will gust 35 to 45 mph this afternoon and evening from the city to Buffalo.

We can't rule out a brief storm Friday evening.

Heat and humidity return for the weekend. Saturday looks dry and most of Sunday.

The best chance to have showers and a storm this weekend will be Saturday night. 

Looking at next week, highs in the 90s with heat index values near 100 will be possible Monday into Tuesday.
