A dentist in Greece is giving neighbors something to smile about. Greece Family Dentistry is once again offering free dental care this weekend as part of its “For the Love of God Dentistry.”

Dr. Oliver Cabrera, owner of Greece Family Dentistry and Implantology, calls Free Dental Day an incredible day of blessings. Greece Family Dentistry is preparing to provide eight hours of free dental care.

This is Cabrera’s sixth year providing free dental care. It’s a first come, first served choice of a free teeth cleaning, extraction or filling. As a dentist for 15 years, he knows that some people put dental care low on the priority list or they just don’t have dental insurance to cover it. He’s here to help.

“With inflation, everything is so expensive now and the middle-income families with no insurance have nowhere to go,” Cabrera said. “So this is for people who do not have insurance. They can come help the middle class and help the people struggling trying to make ends meet. And still be healthy. We have doctors and dentists and hygienists from all over the community coming to volunteer. We couldn’t do this without them so we are super thankful for them.”

They will have 12 dental suites going so they can treat as many dental patients as possible. More than 70 volunteers will be there. Each volunteer will be gifted a swag bag full of goodies. It is truly a community effort for this mission.

“We have our heart and our passion to help those people who are hard-working,” said Christa Cabrera of Greece Family Dentistry, and Implantology. “This is the opportunity we can do that once a year to give back to our community and bless them and make it so much bigger than just dentistry and bringing in all different kinds of organizations to serve them."

Last year this mission provided free dental care to 119 people.

Free Dental Day registration begins Saturday at 8 at a.m. Patients are encouraged to arrive early, dress appropriately and bring a chair to sit in while you wait. Greece Family Dentistry is located at 3101 West Ridge Rd. in Greece.

Several nearby businesses are providing food for the event including SoHo Bagels, Blue Ridge Grill, Destination Bar & Grill, Subway, Piccolo Fazools Bistro, 58 Main BBQ & Brew, Chick-fil-A and others.
